AP Computer Science - * NEW COURSE *Want a computer programming course a bit more hardcore than the others? This is the class for you! You'll learn to program fluently in the Java language while learning concepts such as problem solving, computer science theory, application, algorithm design, programming style, and documentation.
This exciting year-long class is being offered for the first time at Mount Si High School during the 2012-2013 school year and is open to students in grades 10 through 12. An optional exam will be offered in May. Students who opt to take the exam and receive a high enough score are eligible to earn college credit for the course at most 4-year colleges. This course is being offered through a partnership between the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation and TEALS (Technology Education and Literacy in Schools); a grassroots employee driven program that puts high tech professionals in high school classrooms alongside teachers to team-teach technology literacy and computer science.
